Boost with Facebook was originally created in 2019 to serve as the wrapper for Facebook’s economic impact programs; to help tell the world a more cohesive story about Facebook’s investment in small businesses and job-seekers through resources and training programs (such as Community Boost, Boost Your Business, Keep it Local, etc). As the program grew and evolved, it became clear that it should be focused on small businesses. In June 2020, after identifying a need to drive more clarity across small business communications, Boost with Facebook was further clarified as a ‘value-add sub-brand’ for small businesses to improve its value and competitive differentiation in the market.
